Hello Kittens! (sent on June 30, 2010)
Brace yourselves, we have LOTS of BIG NEWS to tell you about this month!
First of all, our BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! We have just been picked up by the Charisma Artist Agency! They are a booking agency out of Rockland, Maine. They are the agents for lots
of super cool national acts you've probably heard of like: The Asylum Street Spankers, Boulder Acoustic Society, Fishtank Ensemble, Two Man Gentleman Band, The Wiyos, just to
name a few. Check out their website, http://www.charismaartist.com, to see all the other awesome bands they book. (I think you will notice we seem to fit right in!) Right now they just
have our picture and Bio up, but will be adding more soon.
So what this means is- if you want to book Le Chat Lunatique for your Wedding, Divorce, Bris or Super Bowl Half Time Show, you don't hafta talk with one of us flaky bozos anymore!
You can now talk with the Lovely Robyn- our professional, responsible, reliable, friendly neighborhood booking Agent! It also means that, eventually, we should be playing in more
far-away exotic locales. Like Ohio.
Pretty cool, huh?!
So from now on, if you wanna book Le Chat, you gotta call Robyn at 877-534-8021 (toll-free!) or email her at: robynhood@charismaartist.com
(we will post that info on our website, myspace, etc. too)
We also have some BIG SHOWS to tell you about!
First of all this Monday, July 5th, we are playing at Low Spirits with a fantastic band out of Los Angeles called Rose's Pawn Shop. Check them out: http://www.rosespawnshop.com/.
And Zoltan Orkestar will be there too!
Also, July marks our first expedition into the "Los Angeles"! Not only that- but we will be taking the Amtrak there! AND- Our good friend, Moises will be tagging along to film the whole
damn thing!!
Here is why we are doing this to ourselves: The whole idea was Moiseseses- Originally the idea was to plan a big 2 or 3 week long tour up and down the west coast that Moises would
film and make into a documentary. Pretty cool, right? Well we thought so too, but then as we began planning, we became a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing and so we asked
ourselves- "why don't we just try going to LA and back first and see how that goes?" So that is what we are doing. We hope to get some cool footage that Moises can use to make into
a promo video that we could then use to convince people to give us money for the eventual "Big Project". Hopefully we can get Amtrak "on board" too, what with all the bail-out money
they got from the government that must be burning great big holes in their pockets....
So look below to see where we will be playing in LA. I'm sure you each have 20 or 30 good Los Angelatian friends you could forward this too.

Join Austin's "Best Singer Songwriter" and Albuquerque's "Best Band" for a very special intimate evening at 3rd St Arts.
In 1997, at the age of 19, Colonna began recording her debut CD, “Girls of Stone” with TP Records in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Many of the songs for this album were composed
while playing in a duo around Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas alongside another gifted young singer/songwriter, Hannah Vincent. The two were attending a small liberal arts college
in Natchitoches, LA where they were discovered playing a jazz festival and were invited to record a live CD with TP Records. Immediately after the live show, TP Records executive
Perry Sanders was so impressed by the girls’ performance that he offered them a recording contract. Colonna and Vincent created separate CD’s, but performed on one another’s
projects. After recording half of “Girls of Stone,” Colonna moved to the Netherlands and spent the next year in school, traveling Europe and South Africa, and making frequent trips to
the US to complete the album. “Girls of Stone” was completed and released in 2000.
Her second release, “Red,” delivers a raw and direct expression of Colonna’s re-association with southern American folk culture. Where “Girls of Stone” has a more urban tone, “Red’
s” tone is bright and clear, deep and raspy, and definitely delivers a more rural character. The independently produced CD delivers a refreshing, authentic sound. Colonna’s voice
cracks and soars atop the tracks, creating a haunting, resonant intimacy in every song. The songs on “Red” travel from lamentations of living in and leaving a spoiled industry town
(“Dirty Wife”, “Sodom”) to gentle, spunky, longing love songs (“Coffee Today”, “Brad’s Song”, “Gypsy”) to introspective and raw desperation (“We All Die Alone”, “Judas”, “Something
New”). Overall, “Red” creates a rejuvenating space in which Colonna’s melodic and lyrical gifts are well accented, natural and refreshing.
See You There!
